48 gigabit ports48 on the panel
Four blocks of twelve. Odd numbers are on the top row and even numbers on the bottom, counting left to right.
Each runs at 10, 100 or 1000 Mbps. None of them supply PoE, so access points and cameras need a PoE switch or injectors.
4 SFP uplinks (49 to 52)4 on the panel
A 2 x 2 group at the right: 49 and 51 on top, 50 and 52 underneath. Each takes a 1G SFP module or DAC cable for fiber runs or links to a core switch.
Also on the front
- Touch display: a 1.3 in. screen on the left shows the switch state and basic diagnostics.
- Reset: the pinhole at the far right, below the SFP group.
LED and display meanings
- Boot animation on display
- Starting up
- Firmware icon on display
- Firmware upgrade in progress
- Steady white
- Factory defaults, waiting for adoption
- Steady blue
- Adopted and managed
- Port LED green
- Linked at 1G
- Port LED amber
- Linked at 10 or 100 Mbps
- SFP LED green
- Linked at 1G
An amber port usually means an old device or a poor cable. Check the run before blaming the switch.
Power and cooling
An internal 60 W supply takes 100 to 240 VAC, so one cord works anywhere. The switch draws at most 40 W and has no fans, which makes it a quiet fit for studios, offices and closets near work areas. Leave air space above and around it in the rack.
